For all of you business-savvy people out there who are starting to build your own brand and market yourselves (especially if you’re a recent college graduate like myself), it’s absolutely essential to have a business card. Even more important than that, a business card holder! You wouldn’t want your cards to be all folded, scratched, and torn would you? Presentation is everything. I bought a relatively cheap tin copper-colored business card holder and while it did work, it was pretty plain. I’m always a fan of personalization and DIY projects, so here’s a cute idea you can use and the materials you need to make it!
I used this Liquid Glass by DecoArt Media that I bought for my paintings to create cool reflective effects. The container has a fine tip which allows you to create more intricate designs. I personally love flowers and roses so I wanted to make my little business card holder stand out.
What I love about this liquid glass is the durability. It can be indented with sharp points, but overall it lasts. I love how the clear design is elegant and timeless. You can also get creative by doing other abstract designs, adding paint on top of it, or even bejeweling it! If you’re handing someone your card and the first thing they see is the holder, what better way to make an impression than with an awesome case?
You can also use this idea to personalize notebooks, binders, phone cases, etc. I’ll be posting more DIY creations with this liquid glass in the future; let’s get inspired together! Hope this gives you an idea of how to personalize and customize your stuff. Best wishes! <3
