What I Wore: Elephant Top (Ross), Patterned Dress (Kohls), Custom Charm Necklace (Brighton) + Mineral Pendant – I love this outfit so much. I swear I feel like a flower child in it (all I needed was a flower crown haha). The purpose of this shoot was to not only showcase my new extensions (thanks mom!!), but also to show my undying love for the ocean. Ever since I saw the beach for the first time, I fell in love. The beach is like my second home; I always feel at peace when I’m there. It’s always great to stand on the shore and feel the water wash away the sand on your feet. Going back to the outfit, my stylish Lola (which is grandma in Tagalog) bought this cute dress from Kohls for me (thank you!) and when I made a visit to Ross I saw this hanging on the side and grabbed it with no regrets. It was just so cute and baggy (loose clothes give me more room to eat and hide my belly – weight loss program to start soon haha). plus the design was too cute to pass up.
If there’s one thing to know about my style is that I like mixing a few more expensive items with inexpensive ones. The final look? Priceless. I grew up going to places like Kohls and Ross, honestly the deals they have are just really great. I may have ‘upgraded’ by going to Forever 21 (my other guilty pleasure) and small boutiques here and there. Honestly it all varies. I just love dressing up and expressing myself through what I wear.
Disclaimer: I’m actually wearing fake eyelashes in this. I bought them from Little Tokyo in LA. If you don’t wear them often, like myself, it feels like the weirdest thing. Looks good, just feels like there are tiny weights on top of your eyes. I can let you in on another secret – it took over 200 frames to get these beautiful ones. Its so easy to feel shy in front of the camera, it’s still something I’m getting used to surprisingly. Practice makes perfect I guess, something I’m looking forward to talking about in a future YouTube video. Till next time!
